In this role, he focuses on global capital markets research, macro strategy and implementation. Previously, John was a senior strategist within the Goldman Sachs Asset Management Retail Distribution Portfolio Strategy Group, where he co-led a team of specialists focused on economic and market strategy as well as client engagement on advanced portfolio construction and implementation issues. Before that, he was a member of the Goldman Sachs Asset Management Fixed Income Portfolio Management team with a specific focus on multi-sector, municipal and short duration\nfixed income strategy. John joined Goldman Sachs in 2000 and was named managing director in 2011. Prior to joining the firm, John had nine years of industry experience as an investment professional and portfolio manager.
